STEPHEN S. WISE READERS TO LEADERS PROGRAM 

Ava Freeman, Jeff’s youngest niece, chose to contribute to READERS TO LEADERS.  In 2020 The Jeff Astor Foundation donated books and holiday gifts for their reading program.  Thanks to the JAF, students received a supply full of arts and craft materials and sweet treats too enjoy as they engaged in holiday themed activities.  The kids made marshmallow snowmen, snowflakes, model Chanukah candles and more. The JAF has also sponsored a special field trip for children in this program. 

Readers to Leaders is a non-profit organization in Los Angeles dedicated to closing the literacy achievement gap for youth for low-income communities.
