In commemoration of the 25th year since Jeff died, our family and friends raised over $100,000 to purchase an ambulance for Magen David Adom to help transport the wounded.

On November 6, 2016 Jeff’s ambulance was dedicated in Los Angeles, and on November 13th another dedication took place in Los Altos.  Since March 2017, this ambulance has responded to nearly 13,000 emergency calls.

We were overwhelmed to have over 90 family, friends and community members gather at each dedication. All who attended had the opportunity to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony of the ambulance, learn more about Jeff, the Jeff Astor Foundation, and the life saving work of Magen David Adom (MDA).

Magen David Adom is Israel’s ambulance, blood-services, and disaster-relief organization serving as emergency medical first responders for the state’s more than 8 million people.
